My Kitchen
This is my beautiful kitchen, where all the cooking, baking, laughter, and a little bit of magic happens! ❤️
They say the kitchen is the heart of the home, and I truly believe that. But for me, home—and my heart—is wherever my family is.
My love of cooking, baking, and especially family traditions comes from my Mom, who sadly passed away on December 5, 2025. She was, and always will be, my greatest inspiration in the kitchen.
Some of my favorite childhood memories are of watching her make Christmas cookies every year. As I got older, I started asking her to teach me how to make the recipes I grew up loving—her gravy, meatballs, meatloaf, cabbage and beans, escarole soup, pasta fagioli, sausage stuffing, Easter bread, and so many more.
I’m incredibly grateful that those recipes became more than just food. They became time spent together, stories shared, lessons passed down, and traditions that eventually included my daughter too. The three of us created so many special memories in the kitchen, especially baking Christmas cookies and making Easter bread together year after year.
One memory will always hold an especially important place in my heart. Just 9 days before my Mom passed away, she came to my house after having her port put in so she could help my daughter and me make her sausage stuffing for Thanksgiving dinner. She was so tired, but she still wanted to be there.
We took pictures of the three of us cooking together that day, and looking back now, those photos mean more to me than I could ever put into words. Without having to say it, I think she knew how important it was for us to have that moment—and for my daughter and me to know how to continue the traditions she had lovingly passed down to us.
And we will.
I’ll continue making her recipes, cooking the foods she loved, baking the things she taught me to bake, and spending time in the kitchen with my daughter. We’ll tell stories, laugh, remember her, and be grateful for every memory we were lucky enough to make together.
Because I know that’s exactly what she would want. ❤️
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the internet. I hope you enjoy my website, my kitchen, and most of all, the recipes and traditions I’m so happy to share with you.
