Mom's Broccoli Rabe

My mom makes the best broccoli rabe! I never made it before but she's so good at it, I'll just keep letting her make it!

BROCCOLI RABE
- 4 heads of broccoli rabe 
- 6-7 cloves of garlic, minced 
- Hot Pepper Flakes 
- 1/2 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil 
- Salt & Pepper 
Directions:
- Cut off large stems from broccoli rabe. 
- Rinse and place into a large pot of water and bring to a boil for approximately 12-15 minutes until soft. 
- Use colander to drain, run cold water and add ice (let sit for about 30 min. to cool). 
- Squeeze water from broccoli rabe and chop on cutting board. 
- Place on sheet pan and drizzle 1/2 Cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil over broccoli rabe and ensure that everything is coated. 
- Add salt, pepper and hot pepper flakes (to taste). 
- Add minced garlic and lightly toss to ensure everything is coated with oil. 
- Bake on 425 degrees F for 20 minutes. 
- Before storing in refrigerator, drizzle with oil to keep fresh. 
- Serve at room temperature or microwave for a few seconds before serving and enjoy!
