Sesame Seed Cookies (aka Biscotti Regina)

Crunchy and delicious but not as dry as your traditional sesame cookie. One of my Mom's favorite cookies.
SESAME SEED COOKIES / BISCOTTI REGINA
- 3 Cups Flour 
- 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder 
- 1 Cup Sugar 
- 1 Cup Crisco Butter Flavor Shortening 
- 3 Eggs 
- 4 Teaspoons Anise Extract 
- 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract 
- Sesame Seeds 
Directions:
- Whisk together 3 cups all-purpose flour & 2 tsp baking powder. 
- In a mixer bowl, cream 1 cup sugar & 1 cup shortening. 
- Add 3 eggs & 4 tsp. anise extract & 2 tsp vanilla extract and mix well. 
- Add the dry ingredients & mix on low until blended. 
- Roll dough into 2-inch fingers, roll in sesame seeds and bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes or until browned as desired.
